Social Networking Halloween Costumes

Social networking is hugely popular world wide with many people spending just as much time on their favorite socail networking site as they do watching TV. So why not take that popularity and turn it around into a super fun and up-to-date costume. Here are a few ideas for social networking halloween costumes. We are providing a few ideas for each costume so you can create the costume but using your creativity will really make the costume great!

Facebook Costume
The facebook costume can be done in a variety of ways. A good way to is to try and replicate your Facebook page on your body. Simply get a white and pants. Then blue a blue-strip to the top of the shirt (like the facebook strip) and then continue to add things such as your picture, number of friends, "in a relationship", etc... on the back you can even create a 'wall' for people to write on. Google Costume
Get together 6 friends who all dress up in the Google colors. Then when you get together you can assume your alphabet shape to become the Google symbol. You will need 2-people all in blue, 2 all-in red, one in orange and one in green. Be sure to select the right color of blue and red to really make it work.

Twitter Costume
The twitter bird can be done in a few different ways. We recommend that you get a cardboard box and attach it to your body then write a bunch of tweets on the front of it. You can also have a section to add more tweets throughout the night which is always a fun idea for a Halloween costume.

YouTube Costume
The YouTube costume is a classic social networking costume (if that's even possible). Simply get a large cardboard box. Cutout the top so your head is sticking through the opening. On the front of the box you can place all the youtube marking such as number of views, stars, reviews, etc... You can even label the top of the box with a funny caption. Be creative and make this a really cool and fun YouTube costume.

Four Square Costume
Four square is the a popular networking tool to tell people where you currently are. To create this costume you can setup a costume similar to the twitter costume. However, have a bunch of locations written up and glued to velcro which you can then attach depending on your location at the party. Your locations could be at the keg, at the bar, in the washroom, in the kitchen, on the dancefloor, etc... Then don't forget to have a few 'mayor' hats so you can become 'mayor' of the kitchen.

iPhone 4 Costume
Although, technically not a social networking site we thought the iPhone 4 deserved it's own section. To create this costume you should take into account the fact that the iPhone 4 has poor reception on the bottom touch position. Here's a really well done iPhone costume for your reference.

Flickr Costume
The flickr costume should incorporate photos and sharing all in one. For this you can dress up in a white shirt and pants. If you can manage it's best to have a small photo printer as part of your costume. This allows people to insert their flash cards and print a photo. Then you can have them stick it on your white shirt or pants. A fun costume that has interactivity!
